Cardinals fall 37-31 in home matinee

Wrestling in front of the entire high school student body, the Cardinals came up just short in dropping a 37-31 decision to the Frontenac Raiders.

Each team had four wrestlers score on the day where the combined score would have been 19-19.  The difference in the match was the Cardinals only had two open matches while giving the Raiders three.  That would ultimately be the six point difference.

Webb City got two different wins by pin as Augie Glaubitz pinned his opponent with only seven seconds left in the period 1 at 113 and Gauge Heilbrun at 138 earned his win with 38 seconds left in the first period.

Carson Rooks scored a major win (11-3) and Brylan Terry earned a decision at 190.
