The Lady Cardinals swept the Waynesville Tigers at the Dome in Tuesday, 25-12, 25-12, 25-16.
In the first set, Webb City steadily pulled away from the outset. Putting together several run of multiple points in a row, they didn't allow the Tigers to score more than one at a time until they were comfortably ahead 20-6, finishing with a 25-12 win.
Set number two was much more competitive in the early going. But at 13-10, the Cardinals rattled off the next 8 points and 12 of the last 14 to win 25-12 to take a 2-0 lead.
In the final set, a fast start found them leading 11-3 and building to a 17-6 bulge before Waynesville could slow the Cardinals just a little. The night ended when the Cardinals closed out the 25-16 set.
Marlee Harper led the night at the net with nine kills, followed closely by Adelyn Maxwell with eight.
Defensively, Avery Gardner had 15 digs with Jaylee VanBecelaere (12) and Savannah Crane (10) also recording double digits. Crane handed out 22 assists across the three sets. Allison Collard served up six aces on her seventeen attempts.
