The Lady Cardinals steadily pulled away in each set as the swept their home opener 3-0 over Clever.

All three sets were very similar.  In the first with the score at 7-6, the Cardinals rattled off eight of the next nine points to put some distance between them and the Blue Jays.  They then finished off the 25-16 first set on a 6-1 run.    The second set stayed closer a little deeper into the match with Webb City only holding a 12-9 midway through.  A 13-6 outburst closed out the set 25-15.  

In the final set an early 4 point run followed by a 3 point run put the Cardinals up 11-5.  With the Blue Jays never able to gain any momentum, the third set ended 25-16.

Kaelyn Maxwell was credited with 10 kills with Adelyn Maxwell totalling 8 as the Cardinals used the height advantage to keep constant pressure on the Blue Jays.  Jaylee VanBecelaere had 7 kills to go along with 23 assists and 12 digs.  Marlee Harper led the team with 24 assists with Avery Gardner claiming a team high 13 digs.
