The Lady Cardinals found their season come to an end with an opening round district loss to Willard.

Game Recap
The Cardinals scored the first six points of the game and, even as the Tigers clawed back to within a single point, kept the lead till half time, headed to the locker room at 29-23. In the second half, the Tiger offense became more productive and the usual scoring run from the Cardinals never materialized. Making only two long range jumpers in the first half, Willard connected on seven in the second half. The fourth one of the third quarter put them in the lead by three momentarily, before Kenzie Horn answered back with one of her own and with Adalyn Maxwell scoring the final bucket, the Cardinals took a slim 46-44 lead into the final quarter.
The final quarter saw the game tied twice and three lead changes in the first three minutes. Consecutive three's from the Tigers were not able to matched and the final three minutes ticked away as the season came to a close.
Team Stats
The Cardinals shot a better overall percentage from the floor, 49% compared to 35%, and held a 31-22 rebound advantage. The two culprits in the stat box that hurt the most was Willard was able to shoot to outscore the Cardinals at the free throw line by nine, 17-8, and Webb City lost the turnover battle 18-10.
The Cardinals finish with the their first 20 win season since 2013-14. Their 62 point scoring average was the most since the 13-14 season. With the loss of only two seniors they will return 95% of their offensive production as they look forward.
