The Lady Cardinals won their home opener on Monday night, defeating Joplin 56-39.  

Webb City, trailing by one at the end of the first quarter, out scored the Eagles 12-2 in the second quarter to lead 26-17 at the half.  The Cardinals then pulled away in the third quarter, scoring 22 points and holding Joplin to only nine.

Leading the Cardinal scoring was junior Abby Brownfield with 14 and senior Addie Darby, hitting two three pointers, finished with 12.  Madeline Hayes and Hannah Woodcock each chipped in nine. 

The Cardinals (6-3) will travel to Skyline on Thursday.
