Webb City jumped to a 16-4 lead after the first quarter in defeating the Lamar Tigers 64-20 in season opener.

Senior Mikaela Burgess led the team in scoring with 26 and joined the 1000 career point club in the process.  She reached the milestone early in the first quarter.

Desirea Buerge finished with 18 points and Kaitlin Beason added 12.

The Lady Cardinals will travel to the Rogers Great Eight Classis at Heritage High School for weekend tournament beginning Thursday night.
