Webb City captured the district 12 championship with a decisive 10-0 victory over Joplin on  Saturday.

Desirea Buerge drilled a grand slam on a 0-2 pitch to put the finishing touch on a two out rally in the third.  Asia Bemo and Lacy Resa each singled to start the rally and Kaitlin Beason drew a walk before Buerge delivered the shot to center field. 

Amanda Wallace drove in Samantha Gilstrap for a single run in the fourth, before the Cardinals scored five more in the fifth to end the game.  Bemo and Resa started the fifth with back to back bunt singles and scored on a Beason base hit.  Buerge walked and scored on an Emily Harris single.  Harris then advanced to third on a wild pitch and scored the final run on a throwing error.

Beason captured the complete game win.

The Cardinals will travel to Ozark on Wednesday night to face the Tigers.
