Webb City completes undefeated conference season with 7-1 victory over Nixa as they celebrated the accomplishments of their 10 senior players.
Asia Bemo led the Cardinal offense with three hits, while Samantha Gilstrap, Mikaela Burgess and Amanda Wallace each collected two hits. Gilstrap drove in three runs on the day.
Burgess scored the first run in the second inning when she scored on a Mollie Peoples ground out. Morgan Lammey and Lacy Resa each singled in the third and scored on a Gilstrap double.
Desirea Buerge hit a two out pinch hit homerun in the fifth. Emily Harris followed with a pinch hit single and scored on a Wallace double.
Bemo singled in the seventh and Kaitlin Beason was hit by pitch before Resa scored Bemo on ground out and the last of Gilstraps hits drove in Beason.
Beason picked up the win with six innings of relief work. She entered the game with a bases loaded jam in the second and and promptly shut down the Eagles offense. She struck out eight and only two hits.
The Cardinals next travel to McDonald County.
