The Cardinals jumped on Carl Junction early and cruise to 9-0 win on Monday afternoon.
Lacy Resa drew a one-out walk in the first and Kaitlin Beason chased her around to third with a double to right center. Alexah Replogle dropped a squeeze bunt single for the first run. An error from the Bulldog shortstop on Courtney Jones ground ball allowed Beason and Replogle to score and the Lady Cardinals held a 3-0 lead.
That would have been enough runs for Kyra Parker. Parker went six innings of no hit softball while striking out five. Laney Kneib pitched the seventh to seal the win.
The Cardinal hitters put up another big inning in the fourth as the first five batters of the inning reached safely. Chelsea Smtih singled to open the inning. Mikaela Burgess reached first as the Bulldog catcher couldn't handle strike three and Asia Bemo drew a walk. Laney Kneib and Resa each then singled. Beason drove in another run with an rbi ground out and Replogle scored another with a sacrifice fly.
Replogle led the Cardinal hitters with three hits on the afternoon, including a double, and Beason and Smith each collected two. Resa joined Replogle in scoring two runs each.
The Cardinals will face Ozark on Tuesday afternoon.
