The Lady Cardinals captured 3rd place in the Joplin Tournament on Saturday.

After opening the tournament on Thursday with a 8-0 victory over Diamond, the Cardinals ran past Seneca 10-0 before falling to Blue Springs 5-4 in 9 innings on Friday afternoon.  

In the semi-finals on Saturday, Rock Bridge held on for a 5-3 victory.  Kaitlin Beason and Lacy Resa each had two hits against the Bruins.

In the 3rd place game, the Cardinals scored three times in the first inning highlighted by Beason delivering a two run single. Beason also picked up the pitching victory.

The Lady Cardinals play their first game at home on Monday against East Newton.
