Cardinals take 1st place in Gans Creek Classic Gold Division, Dawson leads team

COLUMBIA, Mo. -- Both the Boys & Girls Cross Country Teams had a fantastic day in Columbia for the Gans Creek Classic. Both teams finished in first place in the meet. This year's placement is a huge improvement for the boys compared to last year. The team finished in 8th in the 2024 meet.

Andrew Dawson led the team with a 10th place finish and 16:09.80 mark. Notre Dame (Cape Girardeau) High School's Aidan Morris took home gold with a 15:34.60 time.

33rd - Aaron Dawson: 16:48.80

43rd - Rylan Davis: 17:09.20

46th - Oscar Antillon: 17:11.20

72nd - Jace Cross: 17:25.80

101st - Mason Struckhoff: 17:53.80

122nd - Grayden Crooker: 18:08.30

221 total runners competed in the meet, with 27 schools. Webb City placed 1st with 91 points. They ran a 0:39 1-5 Split and 16:30 average. Kirkwood High School finished 2nd with 146 points.

The Lady Cardinals Cross Country Team earned their 2nd straight 1st place finish at Gans Creek. Brooke Hedger also bested last year's time. You can see those results here.
