Cardinals place first in Memphis Twilight Cross Country Classic

MEMPHIS, Ten. -- The Cardinals Boys Cross Country Team kicked their season off with a hot start. The team travelled to Memphis, TN for the City Auto Memphis Twilight Cross Country Classic and came home with a first place finish.

Noah Lankard led the way with a 5th place finish, with a 16:12.33 mark. He finished just less than a minute shy of first place finisher Wade Patten of Parkway West High School's 15:22.45 mark.

Here's a look at the full results for each Cardinal finish, out of 283 total runners:

5th - Noah Lankard: 16:12.33

10th - Andrew Dawson: 16:21.09

22nd - Aaron Dawson: 16:39.63

24th - James Dalrymple: 16:40.85

28th - James Baldassaro: 16:42.44

44th - Rylan Davis: 17:07.19

74th - Jace Cross: 17:33.92

Out of 37 teams, Webb City came out on top with 89 total points with a 0:30 1-5 split and 16:31 average.
