JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. -- The Cardinals Boys Track & Field team left the Class 5 Track & Field Championship with a new fastest time for the school in state meets. The team finished in 9th place, with a mark of 7:57.39.
In the 800, Noah Lankard finished 9th with a 1:57.30 finish.
Cooper White was just short of all-state honors in the javelin throw. He registered a distance of 50.07m, finishing in 9th place.
"Our boys team finished Co-COC champions. Despite being out manned in several areas, this group continued to fight for each other," said head coach Dustin Miller. "We are returning several key pieces and looking forward to watching this group work for each other."
The Lady Cardinals also had a great weekend, finishing with a state title and multiple school records. You can check out those results here.
