"Getting that first win in match one of the season was important. We had two JV guys step in to fill varsity slots for guys who weren't yet eligible to play, and they got some important experience today. You can never overlook CJ, and it came down to the final match for us to get that win. Proud of our guys. It was HOT and windy. The wind we're used to, the heat not so much," head coach Stephany Pace said. "Joplin is tough, especially their top three. We identified some opportunities for improvement against them, and that's what we're focusing on. We can't wait to see them again later in the season."
