Webb City finishes 2nd in Bird-Dog Classic

JOPLIN, Mo. -- Webb City Boys Tennis took advantage of Friday's beautiful weather by leaving the annual Bird-Dog Classic Tournament with a 2nd place finish. The team finished with 14 points, just behind the champion Logan-Rogersville's 16 points. Carl Junction took home 3rd place with 9 points.

Singles

Easton McDonald finished in 5th

Cameron Stone lost 8-4 in his championship match, finishing 2nd

Doubles

Alex Stanley & Lester Pascua finished 2nd

Justice Bonnow & Jayden Bowker won the championship

"Today was a terrific day overall. Awesome weather, terrific competition, and a second-place finish overall for us. The guys continue to improve, and we can't ask for more than that," head coach Stephany Pace said. "Especially coming off a very full week of tennis, to end the week this way is just what we hoped for and needed."

Webb City travels to Mt. Vernon Monday, and then host their Senior Night vs. Neosho Tuesday, April 15th.
