Every Cardinal swimmer scored points leading to a second place team finish at the Carthage Invitational on Saturday.
Austin Andrews captured gold in both 200 IM and the 100 Backstroke. Josh Cummins and Tucker Palone also picked up two individual medals on the day. Freshman Hayden Hickman picked up a medal in the 100 Freestyle.
The time posted by Andrews qualified him for the MSHSAA State Championships, joining teammate Eli Swaim on the list of state qualifiers.
The 200 Medley Relay team of Andrews, Ethan Severance, Cummins and Hickman captured silver as did the 400 Freestyle team consisting of Andrews, Severance, Hickman and Tucker Palone.
Individual swimmers continue to post personal best times, including a 38 second drop in the 500 Freestyle by Nathan Schultz, as they attempt to qualify for the state championships.
