WEBB CITY, Mo. -- Cardinals Soccer snapped a 5 game losing streak on their Senior Night. Webb City defeated Parkview 2-1 Thursday night.

Parkview applied early pressure to the Cardinals, but in the 23rd minute, Luis Puerto broke the silent night with a penalty kick score.

The Vikings continued to keep Trystan Smith busy throughout the night, as he made several nice saves. Smith came up just short off a Vikings strike in the 49th minute.

The Webb City defense rallied after the quick 2nd half score, and eventually found the net 8 minutes later. Jake Annis scored off the free kick from deep in the 57th minute.

Annis' goal ultimately gave Webb City the 2-1 victory, improving their overall record to 5-11.

They travel to Ozark Tuesday, October 21st.
