Cardinals win fifth consecutive, now 4-0 in COC play

The Cardinals ran their COC West division record to 4-0 with a 50-45 win at Parkview.   The win was their fifth in a row, the longest winning streak of the season bringing their overall record to 15-8.  

Cardinal Leaders

Jackson Adams - Finished with 15 points on 6-9 shooting from the field and 3-3 from the charity stripe

Mason Young - The only other player in double figures with 14 including 6-8 from the free throw line.

Hudson Matthiesen - Ended the night with 13 rebounds.  

Game Recap

Webb City scored two points in the opening seconds of the game but didn't score again for almost six minutes.   Parkview failed to take advantage as they had their own issues and was only able to take a slim 5-2 lead.  The Cardinals then went on a game changing 10-0 run through the end of the first and early second to take a lead they would not relinquish.  The lead never grew larger than nine, but the Vikings could not get closer than four.

Team Stats

The Cardinals held Parkview to only six points in the first quarter and 14 overall in the first half.  Defensively they forced the Vikings into 26 turnovers, while overcoming 24 of their own.  This was the Cardinals first trip to Parkview, the win snapping a three game skid to the Vikings
