A back and forth game that saw the lead change a total of 16 different times, it was old fashioned three point play from Holton Keith that gave the Cardinals the lead for good.
In the first half neither team was able to lead by more than four points with 13 lead changes. The third quarter saw the Tigers threaten to pull away as they built their largest lead at nine points. 46-37, with only two minutes left in the quarter. Two threes from Slade Hurd and a Keith bucket closed the game to 48-45 as the final quarter loomed.
Trading buckets to begin the fourth, Holton Keith was fouled on his way to the basket and free throw gave the Cardinals a 52-50 lead they wouldn't give up. Moments later, Trae Turner intercepted an errant pass and soared for a two handed slam that Eli Pace followed with a three pointer from in front of the Cardinal bench and Webb City had exploded to a 57-50 lead. Closing it out shooting five from six from the free throw, the Cardinals have now won 11 straight conference games over the Tigers.
Holton Keith recorded a double-double scoring 19 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. Classmate Eli Pace scored 18 points including a perfect 7-7 from the free throw line. Trae Turner also registered double figures with 10.
The Cardinals will be at Willard in another super night setup for their final regular season road game.
