Keith passes career milestone as Cardinals take Lebanon

Webb City got a home victory over Lebanon but the highlight of the evening was layup from Holton Keith that pushed his career total over the 1000 point barrier.

The Cardinals led wire to wire in the 75-47 victory.  The game started slowly as neither team was able to score during the opening two minutes, a combined 0-9 from the field and three turn overs before Holton Keith dropped in his first two points on the night.  At the end of the first quarter, Webb City had obtained a 14-8 lead that expanded to 33-21 at the break.

A 15-0 run to start the second half put the Cardinals firmly in control.  Keith, stuck at 999 points at half time, scored on a lay up in the first minute to become the 14th member of the 1000 point club in Webb City basketball history.  His road to 1000 on the evening can be found here

Keith finished with 31 on the night with Eli Pace garnering 16 and Slade Hurd with 12 off the bench.  Trae Turner had a team high five steals to go with his nine points.

The defense forced 22 first half turnovers and 35 overall.

Webb City will face the host Raiders in the opening round of the Frontenac tournament at 8:30 on Thursday night.
