Cardinals open second half of the season with win at home

After the Purple Dragons took an early 3-2 lead, the Cardinals used a 16-3 run over the next four minutes to gain control as they downed the Dragons 74-52 on Fiday night at the Dome.

Pittsburg was only able to get within eight points at the end of the first half as Webb City kept them at double digit length throughout the second half.

A swarming defense forced the Dragons into 26 turnovers leading to multiple lay up conversions on the evening.  Holton Keith was 12 of 18 from the floor, finishing with a team high 25 points.  Running mate Eli Pace was close behind with 23 points while also grabbling a team high eight rebounds.  Dalton Riggs was the only other Cardinal in double figures, converting 4 of his 6 shots into a 10 point night.  Trae Turner swatted away five Dragon shots and scored nine of his own.

The Cardinals will host Nixa next Tuesday.
