Alex Pickett scored a game-high 24 points to lead Webb City to a season-opening victory.

Webb City built a 15-9 lead in the opening quarter before taking a 30-27 advantage into the break.

Grant Ellis also notched double figures for Webb City with 13 points while Alex Gaskill added nine.

The Cardinals will be in action this weekend at the Rogers Arvest Hoopfest
