A second quarter surge helped Webb City get past Nevada.

Leading 11-9 entering the second quarter, the Cardinals went on a 19-9 tear just before halftime.

Phoenix Johnson guided the Cardinals with 19 points. Breckin Williams scored 12 points and Kohl Slaughter 11. 

The Cardinals (13-4) square off with Springfield Central at 4 p.m. Thursday in the Bolivar Tournament.
