Webb City sent its football seniors out in style on Friday night in Cardinal Stadium.
The Cardinals clinched a share of the Central Ozark Conference Large Division championship with another strong defensive performance keying a 38-7 win against Ozark.
Webb City, ranked No. 1 in Class 4, improved to 8-0 overall and 6-0 in the COC Large. The Class 5 Tigers fell to 3-5, 1-5.
Twenty-four seniors and parents were recognized in the Cardinals' final regular-season home game.
Cory Duley's 27-yard field goal and Tyler Davison's 63-yard scoring run made it 10-0 in the first period with Duley's first of three extra points.
In the second quarter, Keaton Burroughs scored on a 34-yard run and Cameron Tournear scooped up Kolesen Crane's blocked punt and returned it 25 yards for another score.
Webb City led 24-0 at halftime — Ozark was held to two first downs — and quickly secured the running clock on scoring runs of 41 and 8 yards by Kiante Hardin and Tyson Roderique, respectively, and extra points by Tanner Yokley.
Roderique's touchdown at 7:35 capped a 42-yard drive that included Hunter Vanlue's 21-yard run.
Hardin's TD at 10:34 capped a 59-yard drive that included Roderique's 15-yard carry on first down. Burroughs rushed for 7 and Hardin 6 before Hardin finished it off by getting around the corner and down the left sideline.
The Cardinals go for a perfect conference finish next Friday night at Branson.
