The Cardinals opened the conference portion of their schedule with a 42-7 victory over Carthage.
Kiante Hardin kickstarted the offense with a 45 yard punt return midway through the first quarter, running the kick all the way back inside the Tiger five yard line. Devin Pickett scored two plays later from a yard out.
Webb City scored on its next possession, highlighted by a 24 yard pass completion to Maquel Harbin, with Kyle Baldassarre covering the final two yards as the Cardinals ended the quarter with a 14-0 lead.
The Cardinals increased their lead with a nine play - seventy four yard drive in the second quarter. Baldassare scored his second touchdown on the same counter play call to the right side of the offensive line and after a Nathan Gooch extra point the half time score was 21-0.
The third quarter found the defense forcing the Tigers to punt on their first two possessions and the offense scoring twice more. Trey Parra capped the first drive with a twenty four yard scamper and Baldassare scored his third touchdown of the game.
Both teams traded scores in the fourth quarter as the Cardinals came away with the 42-7 win.
Webb City (2-1) will entertain Republic next Friday for homecoming.
