Webb City evened its conference record (1-1) with a victory over the Ozark Tigers at home on Thursday afternoon.
Tyler Davison, a perfect three for three on the day, singled in the first inning and scored on a sacrifice fly from senior Cade Crouch.
After the Tigers tied the game with an unearned run in the second, Webb City plated three in the bottom of the inning. Andrew Greek opened the inning with a walk and moved up on a Mason Williams single. Kyle Baldassarre drove in the first run with a grounder to first. Williams was able to score the second run of the inning as he stole third and scampered home on a throwing error. Davison continued the inning, doubling down the left field line and the scoring a base hit from Austin Carter.
Joseph Jones picked up the victory, allowing only two runs over six innings. He limited the Tigers to only five hits, striking out two and walking two. After Jones gave up a single to open the seventh inning, Trenton Moeller took over and earned the save.
