A sixth-inning grand slam by Jacob Monroe lifted the Webb City Cardinals to a one-run roadd victory over the St. Mary's Colgan Panthers at Jaycee Ballpark.
Webb City (9-6), which never led until Monroe's heroics in the top of the sixth, was put in a 6-0 hole before scoring seven runs in the final three innings.
Monroe also plated a pair of runs in the fifth on a double to center field. He finished 2-for-3 with six RBI and two runs scored.
Alex Bass, who relieved Webb City starting pitcher Wyatt Hodson in the fourth, was credited the win after delivering 3 1/3 scoreless innings. He limited the Panthers (5-5) to just a pair of hits and struck out seven batters.
